As I reflected on the story of the “two sets of footprints in the sand,” it revealed the misjudgment of our views and quick reactions. The first natural response was those of abandonment and neglect. In despair, it is challenging to notice the presence of blessings and consider the absence of further harm. It was difficult for the saint to analyze the impossibility of being so faint and frail yet leaving such apparent footprints without a trace of resting. Similarly, in our everyday life, we should practice a heart of gratitude, knowing God’s grace brought us through the roughest of days and those moments of our happiest. Our thoughts are greatly influenced by a confused society, personal and social experiences, and the absence of a Godly mind. Connecting with the world’s things as they surround us is easy. Therefore, let us pray for a Godly heart, eyes that see good in all situations, and pure thoughts that hope for the best. We can study the word of God and practice his truth to live a life filled with love and gratitude.
